I've known Sunny and her husband/partner Steve for years, and she has always been great with giving free information and opinions, but my wife and I learned how truly great her and her team are when we decided to buy a new house and sell our townhouse. Buying our house: In this market, I wasn't sure if we would be better off with an agent based in Seattle since we wanted to stay on Beacon Hill. I thought maybe a "Seattle" agent might know the area better or be more responsive. I'm so glad that we didn't go with someone else. Despite living in the North end, they were never too busy to come down and show us a house. They new the area very well, and my phone calls were either always answered or returned very quickly. They walked us through all the steps to make a good offer and helped us make sure we had everything ready to move fast if we found a house we liked. They hurt with you if you didn't get a house you fell in love with. That happened three times with us (each time because the price I thought was "fair" was too low). Finally on the fourth house I listened, and it all came together and we were the highest offer. Sunny and Steve made sure the process went smoothly (mostly because the made sure everything was ready before we made the offer) and we were able to close early. Selling our townhouse: When it came time to sell our townhouse, Sunny and Steve worked with us to determine the best price to list and for how long. They were able to tell us exactly what not to worry about, what to fix, and what furniture should stay or go. They staged the rest and had it looking great. They had the all the right connections for the home inspector, photographer, etc. They drove tons of traffic to our listing (I think we had well over one hundred showings if you count the open houses). We decided to review offers a week after listing it, but Sunny offered great advice when someone came in with an early "take it or leave it" offer. All in all, we got over 20 offers, and it sold for 20% over list price! We knew it would sell for more than we listed it for, but that was way more then I hoped. Both buying and selling, we are so happy to have had a professional working with us through this whole process. On my own, I'm sure I would have messed something up royally. Steve and Sunny went above and beyond what was needed to make sure we found what we wanted. They were very responsive, patient, very fair in their feedback on pros and cons, and did not push us to make any decision we were not comfortable with. They make a great team together. We felt we were working with longtime friends rather than an real estate agents. In addition, Sunny picked up our kids from school and took care of them when we were working against a contingency timeline to make an offer. They were available anytime day or night when we had questions. We ended up with a property to build a new home and they lined up builders for us to discuss, present in all builder conversations to provide advice, and even brought us a huge selection of architecture books they personally owned for us to borrow.
